SerpApi gives you the search results page as structured data. SenseCollect gives you the businesses on it with their contacts already resolved. These are not the same job.

SerpApi is a search engine results API. It handles the hard part of getting Google to answer reliably — proxies, parsing, layout changes — and returns the SERP as JSON across Google, Bing, Maps, Shopping, and more. It is very good at that and is priced per search.
SenseCollect starts one step later. It runs the search, walks the results, visits the business websites, and returns rows with phone, email, and website filled in. You are buying the finished lead row, not the page it came from.
Free tier at 250 searches/month. Starter $25/month for 1,000 searches, Developer $75 for 5,000, Production $150 for 15,000, Big Data $275 for 30,000. Billing is per search — one request for one results page.
No subscription. Billing is per row returned, and contact enrichment is part of the same row rather than a separate step.

This is where the unit difference bites. A SERP request returns one page of results — roughly twenty businesses — and it returns what the page shows. Google Maps listings do not show email addresses, so the SERP is not the finish line for a lead list.
| Step | SerpApi | SenseCollect |
|---|---|---|
| Getting 1,000 listings | ~50 searches, inside the $25 Starter plan | $21.04–$32.30 |
| Email addresses for those listings | Not included — Maps listings do not publish them | Resolved from the business website in the same call |
| Work left to do | Visit 1,000 websites yourself and parse contacts | None |
| Monthly floor | $25 | $0 |
For the listings alone, SerpApi is cheap and excellent — 50 searches inside a $25 plan is hard to beat, and we will not pretend otherwise. The gap is the enrichment: getting from a listing to a contactable lead means crawling a thousand websites, which is the part SenseCollect does for you and the part SerpApi was never meant to do.
| Dimension | SerpApi | SenseCollect |
|---|---|---|
| What comes back | The search results page, structured | Business rows with contacts resolved |
| Billing unit | Per search — one results page | Per row returned |
| Engine coverage | Google, Bing, Baidu, Yandex, Maps, Shopping, News, and more | Google Maps only, plus Amazon reviews and TikTok |
| Email and phone resolution | Not offered — the SERP does not carry email | Included in the row |
| Contact verification | Not offered | verify=true checks deliverability; failed rows cost nothing |
| Cost of listings alone | Very low per listing at plan volume | Higher, because the row includes enrichment |
| Subscription | Monthly plan required beyond the free tier | One-time credit packs, no expiry |
| General SERP research | Purpose-built for it | Not offered |
No. Email is not published on Google Maps listings, so no SERP API can return it. Getting an email means visiting the business website, which is a separate crawl.
For raw listings, usually yes — one search returns about twenty results, so a thousand listings fits inside their $25 plan. Once you need contacts, the comparison changes, because you have to build and run the enrichment yourself.
Plenty of people do. SerpApi for ranking and SERP research, SenseCollect for the lead rows. They overlap less than they look like they do.
